Service Learning & experiential education at The GrowHaus
The GrowHaus provides highly custom service learning and experiential education experiences for groups of 10 to 40 participants of all ages.
Early Childhood and Elementary
For young learners, we offer experiential education workshops of 1-2 hours. These workshops include hands-on activities to engage students in topics surrounding soil and worms, healthy eating, community, etc.
Middle and High School
For older students, we offer service learning workshops of 2-4 hours that blend group discussion and activities around a theme such as food justice or sustainability with hands-on service work in our educational greenhouse space.
College and Adult
We also offer service learning workshops of 2+ hours. Workshops include a guided tour of our facility, facilitated group discussion around the service theme, and hands-on service projects to benefit The GrowHaus' mission.
Themes for all our workshops include food justice, healthy nutrition, soil, aquaponics, or permaculture. We're happy to work with you to develop a unique service learning experience for your school, faith-based institution or business.
