The GrowHaus “growasis” and outdoor classroom spaces serve as educational and event spaces for a variety of GrowHaus programs, as well as an eye-catching space for anyone who tours our facility. We envision the growasis space as a dynamic, hands-on educational space that will provide interactive learning opportunities to engage visitors during and outside of planned programming. The Growasis Gardening Intern will work closely with the Education Program Coordinator and the Operations Manager to manage the plants in the growasis: watering, pruning, fixing irrigation, pest and disease management, planting, and generally caring for the indoor garden.

The Growasis Gardening Intern will also work to design and create interactive educational modules, engaging signage, and other materials that will help transform the growasis space from an indoor garden into a living classroom. They will also have the opportunity to co-facilitate occasional service learning workshops and facilitate growasis volunteer days.
