Information Technology Operations Intern


The GrowHaus is searching for a committed individual to help support our team with technology needs and create a plan for the upcoming years. Must have an interest in working with technology and helping others troubleshoot basic problems. Experience not required, but a willingness to learn and initiative to help solve problems is.

Help us improve our practices as a nonprofit organization as provided in the Nonprofit Association’s Principles & Practices for Nonprofit Excellence in Colorado. The Information Technology Operations Intern will gain practical knowledge in developing Information Management and Policies as relates to use, data security/protection, responsibility, training, support, plan, investment, and selection of technology within The GrowHaus. This will aid our team in achieving our mission to end hunger and create lasting access to healthy food in GES.


  • Assist with maintaining and updating our phone systems

  • Troubleshoot technology devices

  • Perform routine maintenance

  • Assist in the ordering and purchasing process of equipment and supplies

  • Restock supplies

  • Create an updated log of all devices and equipment

  • Track equipment/software inventory

    • Tag and number equipment

    • Update device and equipment log

  • Help create milestone plans for the organization in technology needs

    • Cost analysis

    • Increased use in the facilities

    • Faster, more reliable Wi-Fi in the building

  • Implement new ways to carry out our mission more effectively through technology

  • Train team members on software or operating devices


  • 3-5 month commitment

  • 8-10 hours/week, flexible after initial training

Skills and Requirements:

  • Connection or knowledge of GES community preferred

  • Spanish speaker preferred

  • Some knowledge of technology use and computer skills

    • Windows

    • Macs

    • Office software

    • Google Suite

  • Patience in (providing software/computer) support in a nonprofit setting

  • Devotion to our vibrant and diverse community

  • Commitment to learning the best practices in helping our team carry out our mission

  • Willingness to take direction from directors and staff

  • Desire to learn and grow with one of the best teams in the industry!
