Bilingual Community Wellness Education and Engagement Manager
Hours: Full-time, exempt, Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Currently Reports to: Senior Manager or Director of Community Programs and Engagement
Salary: $58,500 + Comprehensive benefits package
Location: Denver, Colorado (on-site and at partner sites - very infrequent permission to work remotely)

The GrowHaus is a community-driven food justice organization serving Globeville, Elyria-Swansea, and the greater metro Denver area. We ensure healthy food is a right by offering food access programming, wellness education, and leadership development rooted in community needs. Our team collaborates with neighborhood residents to deliver culturally grounded, multigenerational programming.
Program Oversight & Development:
Manage day-to-day operations of youth, adult, and multigenerational education programs, including resolving issues as they arise.
Support program planning, curriculum development, culturally responsive facilitation models, and cooking classes for community members and outside clients.Create and implement a social media strategy that keeps our audience engaged and informed about The GrowHaus’ work and impact. You must be familiar with social media trends and be comfortable crafting compelling, engaging posts.
Coordinate logistics, set timelines, order materials, plan field trips, and recruit guest speakers.
Oversee outreach efforts for all community programs.
Supervise SNAP outreach and enrollment activities led by the Specialist Promotora, ensuring alignment with program goals and compliance requirements.
Maintain and grow relationships with participants, families, and community partners.
Ensure programs are aligned with community priorities and responsive to participant feedback.
Staff Management & Team Development
Develop team work plans and supervise facilitators, Promotoras, interns, and part-time staff.
Determine staffing needs and schedules to ensure program goals are met.
Support the Program Director with recruitment and hiring for departmental roles in collaboration with HR, and oversee onboarding, evaluation, and offboarding processes.
Lead team meetings and trainings in curriculum development, nutrition education, teaching techniques, and public speaking to build staff capacity and confidence.
Collaborate with the Director to develop staff work plans and professional development goals, while also engaging in continued professional growth and learning.
Foster a supportive, mission-aligned, and accountable team culture.
Promote equitable practices and contribute to a positive, inclusive, and culturally responsive work environment.

Outreach & Community Engagement
Lead participant recruitment strategies for all educational programs.
Strategically connects with potential community partners that align with The GrowHaus’ goals and capacity.
Coordinate regular community visibility efforts and represent The GrowHaus at events, schools, and partner sites to build awareness and trust.
Plan and staff community engagement events to promote programming, including activities that may take place after school or on weekends.
Support program visibility and the organization's presence as a culturally responsive leader in wellness education.
Build strategic relationships with partners to advance The GrowHaus’ strategic goals.
Evaluation & Administrative Duties
Track participation and support the use of evaluation tools to assess impact.
Contribute to grant reporting and create reports to share key program metrics with the Director.
Maintain up-to-date documentation; ensure program activities align with leadership goals, grant commitments, and department targets; and oversee accurate, timely data collection in coordination with the Development team to support grant compliance and reporting.
Support ongoing program evaluation for continuous improvement.
Experience and Qualities Required for Success
Experience working at a community-led organization.
Strong project management skills with proven ability to build systems that increase team capacity and effectiveness.
Proven experience managing teams, including setting strong priorities and expectations and creating systems of accountability within the team.
Proven experience researching and developing community-education materials using evidence-based resources.
Demonstrates strong engagement and facilitation skills (confidence to speak and lead interactive activities for small and large groups) and brings experience leading community-based education, outreach, or wellness programming.
Actively contributes to team growth through supervision and mentorship.
Confident in navigating digital tools, including Google Workspace, to support program planning and delivery with proven organizational skills to create systems that ease workload rather than adding burden.
Brings some understanding of the concepts of food justice, community education, and community health, and is invested in personal and professional growth in these areas.
Committed to building community relationships in both English and Spanish, with fluency in both languages.
Experience collaborating across organizational departments and supporting other departments' work when needed.
Thrives in a dynamic environment with work demands and priorities that shift frequently to meet community needs.
Flexible and adaptable, able to pivot between tasks throughout the day and week.
Brings integrity, emotional intelligence, and a strong sense of stewardship for their work.
Must be comfortable with (experience preferred) working with children ages 0-18 and adults.

Other Requirements
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Must pass a criminal background check.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable access to transportation (you will drive and receive mileage reimbursement in this position).
Must be available to work full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, as well as occasional weekend and evening hours as needed to conduct programs.
Must be fluent in both English and Spanish.
Must be able to carry 25 lbs.
Must have experience using a laptop computer, email, and Google Suite products (particularly Google Calendar and Google Sheets).

This role requires a high level of energy, passion for community-based work, and a commitment to innovation. This role builds capacity for the Director of Community Programs and Engagement through strong project management skills, effective delegation, and team leadership experience. This position oversees participant recruitment and community relationship-building and is responsible for the department's day-to-day decisions and programmatic direction. This position will collaborate closely with their supervisor, the Director of Community Programs and Engagement, to support the department’s growth and align program goals with The GrowHaus' strategic direction.
