Benefiting The GrowHaus’
Community-Led Food Access Programs
Founded in 2009, The GrowHaus is a Latina-led nonprofit food justice organization that provides fresh, no-cost food access to over 6,000 neighbors every month via 24 food access points across Denver via strategic partnerships with Denver Public Library, Boys and Girls Clubs, the City of Denver, and other organizations in some of Denver’s most vulnerable communities. 85% of The GrowHaus’ team are people who reside in the communities we serve. Over 90% of our team members are women, with the majority identifying as Latina. Our community-led team understands first-hand the systemic barriers that cause food insecurity. As such, our work transcends food access by providing nutrition and wellness education, as well as leadership and economic opportunities for youth and adults.
