Benefiting The GrowHaus’
Community-Led Food Access Programs
Founded in 2009, The GrowHaus is a Latina-led nonprofit food justice organization that provides fresh, no-cost food access to over 7,000 neighbors every month via 28 food access points across Denver through strategic partnerships with Denver Public Library, Boys and Girls Clubs, GES Coalition, Thriving Families, Tepeyac Community Health Center, and other organizations in some of Denver’s most vulnerable communities. 70% of The GrowHaus’ team is from the communities we serve. Over 90% of our team members are women, with the majority identifying as Latina. Our community-led team understands first-hand the systemic barriers that cause food insecurity. As such, our work transcends food access by providing nutrition and wellness education, as well as leadership and economic opportunities for youth and adults.
